We love this time of year. We wait for it all spring and summer and when it finally arrives it usually passes on by very quickly. Holidays are a great time to unwind and reflect but they are also a major challenge for people because it allows them another excuse to let go of any dietary discipline they may have had. For most people this time a year brings resolutions for the following year that often fall by the waist side only a few weeks after January 1st. We've all seen or heard someone like this and the scenario usually plays out something like this - "As soon as the holidays are over I am going on a diet."
The biggest problem with this logic is that there will always be another excuse to break the diet later on down the road whether it is a birthday or another holiday we can count so many days throughout the year where excuses can be made to slack off in this department.
