Why did I eat that?

Whether you are a strict  paleo eater or an average Joe, you've definitely experienced a time in your life where you've asked yourself "why did I eat that?"

It seems that this happens to a lot of people on a regular basis, and it especially happens to those who struggle with there weight.  To understand how this happens we must look at the process of when the food reaches up to your sense of smell and gets compounded by your sight until it slides off the fork and lands on your tongue.

Sight and smell not only activate our salivary glands but they also bring back childhood memories of favorite pastimes when you used to get a double scoop ice cream cone after a little league game. It's these "feel good" times that sabotage our efforts to remain paleo. It's these split seconds in between the hand to mouth actions that are the hardest to combat but can make a huge different if you're more away of that cliff walk.

Have you ever started to eat something you considered a cheat food and as you began to chew had a feeling of guilt so you spit it out?  This has happened numerous times to myself in the past before I learned what it feels like not to have though cravings anymore.

Thanks to the Paleo regimen the pains associated with the aftermath of a meal are no longer an issue. The full and satisfied feeling are always present and there's no guilt or pukie feeling afterward.   And What else makes a difference?
Eating the appropriate Paleo snacks to get you to the next meal can make all the difference in the world.  Something little can have a huge impact on your success with this and we're lucky to have these snacks and recipes available to us.
